Raising awareness and taking action on drug related issues in Manning Valley communities.

We meet on the first Thursday of the month from 10.30 at the Greater Taree City Library.

What are we doing?

Community Drug Action Teams (CDAT’s) are committed to raising public awareness and encouraging involvement in issues related to drug and alcohol use and misuse. We invite you to join with us in addressing the issues, informing ourselves and others, getting involved and acting now. We want our community to be a better and safer place to live. Reducing drug and alcohol misuse in our community starts with individuals. It is an issue that each person can positively contribute to. Drug action is about getting involved and finding local
solutions to a problem that can affect any one of us, at any time in so many different ways.

Common types of CDAT activities include:
  • Safe environment and prevention activities (e.g. drug and alcohol free events)
  • Drug information and education e.g. community forums and information expos
  • Projects that bring community members together
