Students studying the Diploma in Community Welfare at North Coast Institute of TAFE undertook this research project as a result of a joint initiative between TAFE NSW (Taree Campus) and the Manning Valley Neighbourhood Services Inc. (MVNS).  The main aim of the project was to establish the needs and wants of residents for a community centre in the Bushland and Ruprecht Park Housing Estates areas.
