MV Interagency Collaborate (MVIC)

In 2011, we started the MVI Collaborate meeting. This new meeting was set up in response to feedback from a recent survey where people expressed a desire for a collective focus on developing solutions to community issues.   The collaborative meeting will look at specific projects, addressing service gaps, lobbying and taking on an active role in developing innovative projects.

The MVI Collaborative meeting will be held every alternative month (odd) to the Interagency meeting.

Recent Achievements/actions of Interagency COLLABORATE

  • Driving the need for and establishing a separate housing forum
  • Community services directory – looking at avenues for the current GTCC directory more user friendly and encouraging service providers to use it

 Current Projects

  • Researching and lobbying for a mental health court liaison officer in Taree. Opportunities for collaboration and involvement regarding this are multiple, but also important if we are to achieve this essential service
  • Providing an intensive networking and professional development day in early 2013 especially around more collaborative and cohesive service delivery and better referral pathways for clients
