What are we doing?

Community Drug Action Teams (CDAT’s) are committed to raising public awareness and encouraging involvement in issues related to drug and alcohol use and misuse. Groups of concerned community members have come together to work with Government agencies and other organisations to address the impact of drug and alcohol misuse for individuals, families and communities.

Common types of CDAT activities include:

  • Safe environment and prevention activities (e.g. drug and alcohol free events)
  • Drug information and education e.g. community forums and information expos
  • Information gathering and research e.g. business card listing drug and alcohol services in the area
  • Projects that bring community members together
